Nortim Precision Engineering LTD is a family run business based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, founded in 1971 is an established manufacturer of precision machined parts for Oil & Gas, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Food & Drink, Medical, Electronic, Nuclear, Rail Industries and others. Nortim Precision Engineering is AAC ISO 9001 registered and UKAS approved.
Their hands-on engineering experience in the machining of single one-off prototypes to batch quantity production is vast. Nortim offer a complete bespoke service to meet the demands of their client’s machined components and fabrication requirements.

Campaign Objective and Project Background
Nortim identified a gap in the market for specialist machined components, where some companies manufacture with such specialist machines that if the machines need a new part the company might find it almost impossible or incredibly challenging to replace those specialised parts. This is where Nortim comes in, they will manufacture quality milled components and turned parts from their client’s drawings, CAD files and specifications.

Nortim tasked TBG Group to develop new business opportunities through telemarketing and a business-to-business sales pipeline for them. The aim of the campaign was to make engineering companies aware of Nortim’s capabilities, services, as well as what they have to offer, whilst obtaining information about each company dialled for future reference.

The aim of the campaign was to make engineering companies aware of Nortim’s capabilities, services, as well as what they have to offer, whilst obtaining information about each company dialled for future reference.
Project execution
TBG Group started off the campaign by agreeing with Nortim to do a data build and use that information we had gathered to conduct an outbound dialling campaign. TBG Group managed the data build and outbound dialling for Nortim, gathering as much intelligence on engineering companies as possible while trying to obtain an interest in Nortim’s services. Through dialling TBG Group were able to obtain which companies were interested in Nortim’s services, which companies were already in contracts with other engineering companies, which could potentially be interested in the future, and which wanted more information, or a quote.
The aim of the dialling was to present Nortim with either a telephone or face to face appointment, or obtain quote requests. We also did a data gathering exercise to gather as much information from the companies who weren’t interested or companies who wanted a future call back as the information may prove useful for future campaigns.
TBG Group kept in regular contact with Nortim to advise how the campaign was doing, pass across potential leads, leads, and quote requests. By doing this Nortim were able to pick up on leads and quote requests while they were still hot. This was also beneficial for TBG Group as we were able to establish which potential new clients needed to be revisited.
